This privacy policy lists exactly what Kalinga Times collects: access logs, security plugin records, Cloudflare data, and totals and short notes from the «Was this page helpful?» buttons; server logs are kept for a short time. There are no ads, no Google Analytics and no user accounts.
When you use the converters
The converters, world clock and meeting planner run in your browser. The places, times and dates you enter are not sent to our server and are not stored.
Server logs, security and Cloudflare
Access logs (IP address, time, page, browser) are kept for about 10 days and then deleted. A security plugin records the IP address of failed logins and suspicious requests. The site runs behind Cloudflare, which may set a short-lived security cookie.
«Was this page helpful?» buttons
When you press «Helpful» or «Needs improvement», the server only adds one to a total. A one-way hash of your IP address and the page is kept for one day to stop repeat votes. A note you type (up to 300 characters) is stored with the time and page; only the latest 300 notes are kept. Your browser remembers your vote in localStorage.
Saved time zones
If you save a list of time zones in the world clock, the list is kept in your browser’s localStorage on your device only; it is never sent to our server.
Emails you send
If you email us, we keep the message to reply and to handle your request. We do not use your address for marketing and do not share it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data about you, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Email [email protected]; we reply within 30 days.
