Rourkela (Odisha), June 28: As political climate hot up in Odisha, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Dal has got into the poll mode with full vigour. The party begins its two-day executive meeting here on Saturday to discuss about its strategy for the coming Lok Sabha and Assembly polls.
The meeting, which will be addressed by all top leaders of the party in the state, will discuss about the winning possibilities of its candidates in the coming polls.
The BJP leaders will also discuss about the swapping of some Lok Sabha and Assembly seats with their alliance partner Biju Janata Dal.
The meeting assumes significance more because at the end of the meeting on Sunday, BJP's top leader L.K. Advani and Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal president Naveen Patnaik will jointly address a public meeting at Birsa Maidan here.
The meeting will mark the launching of the poll campaign of the ruling BJD-BJP alliance in the State.
Despite certain differences between them, the leaders of both the parties are coming together to joins hands as the alliance was making serious efforts to win the Assembly polls in the state for the third consecutive term.
As an early election was also likely in the country, the alliance was also keen to finalise their strategy to hold the Assembly polls along with the general elections.
BJP state president Suresh Pujari, party's national vice-president Jual Oram and other leaders are hopeful that the Sunday's public meeting will be a success and pave the way for the success of the BJD-BJP alliance in the next poll.
