Replying to the motion at the end of a debate in which several legislators from both the ruling BJD-BJP alliance participated during the day, Patnaik said all possible measures were being to maintain law and order in the state.
Highlighting his government's achievements during the past eight years, the Chief Minister said the state had attracted investments worth rupees six lakh crore and the state was on the path of progress.
Earlier, opposition leaders blamed the government headed by Patnaik for its failure to contain the violence in Kandhamal district.
